This extension cable is designed to connect a remote control/switch to a lift motor. It features an 8-pin male-to-female connector and a retractable spring cord design, with a minimum length of 50cm (1.64ft) and a maximum stretched length of 150cm (5ft). It is ideally suited for power recliners, lift chairs, sofas, love seats and many other motion furniture.
Compatibility:
- Compatible with motion furniture that uses round 8-pin straight-head remote controls/switches.
- Not compatible with furniture that uses remote controls/switches with non-8-pin plugs.
- Not compatible with furniture where the switch/remote control needs to be plugged directly into the control box or motor body. The protrusions on the control box and motor body will conflict with the plastic housing on the male plug of this extension cable, making it impossible to insert.
Note:
This extension cord has 8 wires, the center pin is not connected. If your remote control/switch requires the use of that center pin, this extension cord will not work. Please click here for the 9 wire version.

kathy warkentine This addition to the remote connection on my lift chair is very nice and easy to add. I feel it will save wear and tear on the original short cord that came with the control. You can just plug it into the back connection and then add the original remote cord to the final end. Any extra cord can be tucked away in the side pocket on the chair. Good price and quick delivery time.
