This is the genuine eMoMo SQ1936RRH2 junction box (also referred to as a control box). This control box is compatible with select two-motor recliner/lift chairs from Journey that use the SQ1936RRH2 10-button 5-pin remote controller.

Compatibility:

This control box is not cross-compatible. Verify the SN on the barcode sticker of the control box, and order only if the SN meets the following criteria:
Prefix: Usually begins with SN:E, SN:WT, or SN:ZE. Model Code: The characters immediately following the prefix must be SQ1936RRH2. Check Digit: The character directly after “SQ1936RRH2” must be a number or the letter V.

Configuration:

  • This control box has 8 leads & connectors and a 5-pin socket.
  • The 5-pin socket connects to the remote controller.
  • A male 2-pin plug connects to the power supply.
  • Two female 2-pin plugs connect to the footrest and backrest motors.
  • Two male barrel plugs connect to the heating pads.
  • Three female barrel plugs connect to the vibration motors.

Note:

Some issues are caused by the vibration motor or heating element; replacing the remote or control box will not help. Before purchasing, troubleshoot as follows:

Carefully turn the chair upside down. Disconnect the marked plugs shown in the image on the left and check whether the backrest/footrest movement is restored: If movement is not restored, the remote or control box is likely faulty. If movement is restored, one of the disconnected plugs is faulty. Reconnect them one by one until you identify the faulty plug, and leave that plug disconnected.

If you are unsure whether the fault is caused by the remote or the control box, replace both the remote and the control box (second option in the listing) to avoid issues caused by replacing only one.
